The sporty and spectacular Kandersteg-Allmenalp via ferrata in the Bernese Oberland leads through a wall divided by gorges and pillars. The Allmibach finds its way down the valley in several beautiful waterfalls along the route.

 

The Kandersteg-Allmenalp via ferrata has a lot to offer ambitious via ferrata climbers: In scenic surroundings, the route with a sporty character leads along the Allmibach waterfalls through the wall. Nepal bridges (three-rope bridges), tyroliennes (rope slide bridges) and even a twisted ladder in a spectacular roof provide plenty of variety and thrills. The wall is east to south-east facing and the climb is excellently secured. There is a key section right at the beginning with a suspended ladder, another is the ascending and descending traverse before the second Nepalese bridge. In total, there are two Nepal footbridges about 30 metres long; instead of the second one, you can also hover over the Allmibach on a tyrolienne. A 110-metre-long tyrolienne leads to a rock head and back again, but this can only be used in the company of a professional mountain guide.
