The route starts in the village of Saanen and leads via Unterbort to the Grischbach valley. The tour continues through the forest and along the road, which is not passable in winter, via the points Pont de la Scie and Recardets to Sassalas d'en Bas. There you leave the road in a westerly direction and the real climb begins. During the ascent you pass several alpine huts until you reach the summit at 1878 meters above sea level.

The descent leads either along the ascent track or southwest via Pra Borni, Le Leyti and Grans Plans down to Rougemont.
