From the Sustlihütte, head north-west towards the Murmelsplanggstock. At 2,400 m, change direction and head northwest up to the Stössenfirn. Continue left to the Stössensattel

On reaching the Firnalpelifirn, traverse to the ridge, which then leads to the Grassen (2,946 m).

 

Descend following the ascent route until about 2,800 m. Head north üdown the north flank to Grassenbiwak (2,647 m). Then continue north-eastwards into the glacier basin of the Firnalpeli glacier and from 2,300 m westwards again to the Gorisegg Moräne.

At the end of the Moräne keep right über Bödmen and Oberstäfeli. Üüber die untere Brücke abfahren und auf dem Wanderweg über eine Stufe zum Goldboden. The road takes you to the valley station of the Fürenalpbahn.
