The starting point is the valley station Engelberg-Titlis. Along the valley run you walk the first part in the direction of Untertrübsee, after the restaurant you turn right. First along the piste/road in the direction of Gletti until the actual ascent. First through the Alpelen forest to Arni-Alpelen. There are some small sections that are quite challenging. With a good running technique, however, this is no problem. From Arni-Alpelen you climb in a few hairpin bends in a southerly direction to the Alpelenhörnli (2,024 m), which is visible from afar.
