From the mountain station of the Bettmeralp cable car, head east through the village to the Hotel Aletsch, where the start of the Helsana Swiss Running Walking Trail is situated. First follow the relatively level path to Martisbergeralp via the Baschweri Adventure Park. After about half an hour, the path turns back 180° towards the west. After a gentle climb, the path levels out again and continues towards Alte Stafel. From there, head downhill past the Möriken-Wildegg group hostel until you arrive back at the starting point.
Author’s recommendation
Burn off any leftover energy by combining this with the long Nordic walking circuit on the sunny plateau.
