Mont Soleil Wind Farm

This is one of the tours of Mont Soleil that have few metres of ascent. Mostly over hilly pastures, we first ride west to Les Bois, then southeast to Mont Soleil, from where we have a beautiful view of the Chasseral over the valley of Saint-Imier.
At Mont Soleil there is also the «Centrale Solaire du Mont Soleil», a solar power station that can be visited.
Shortly afterwards we encounter another form of electricity production with renewable energies. In a wind farm, the modern windmills are turning, no longer grinding grain but producing electricity. After this informative excursion, to «grate forms of energy production», we return to the starting point Les Breuleux.
