Grand Doubs Tour

Till Les Brenets we still have some motor vehicles around us, but then we move mostly on single trails, from Biaufond also on field and forest paths. Shortly after the Saut du Doubs we leave the forest road and stay on a single trail, which will give us unique impressions, on the one hand along the Lac de Moron, but then also in the following gorge of the Doubs, e.g. under the «Rochers Pleureuses». From the power station about 4 kilometres after the Lac de Moron dam, the gorge, and thus also the path, becomes wider and technically easier. After Biaufond, we no longer have a view of the Doubs for some time - we ride a little higher up the valley flank. Already before Goumois, the fairly flat section along the Doubs begins, which is only interrupted once by the crossing of a headland, which once again requires the smaller gears - and then, of course, the mountain finish at the railway station of St. Ursanne.
