By mountain bike through the Lauenental and Turbachtal valleys
Mountain Bike
· Switzerland
Scenic tour through the lovely Lauenental valley and the idyllic Turbachtal valley, on which we almost incidentally also go around Gstaad's local mountains Giferspitz and Lauenenhorn.

Distance 26.5 km
The varied ride through the beautiful, remote valleys of Lauenental and Turbachtal promises a pure nature experience. Accompanied by magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, the route initially climbs gently, then from the romantic mountain village of Lauenen increasingly steeply up towards Türli. But when we reach the highest point of the pass, we have made it. A mix of rugged paths and wide forest tracks leads us from here down into the barren Turbachtal valley and makes for great riding fun.

Start of the tour at the station in Gstaad. Follow the Louibach stream to Lauenen. From here follow the narrow, asphalted road to Uf der Flue. At the end of the road, keep left and follow gravel and forest paths to the Türli (1986 m). At the next junction keep left again and first on a narrow path, later on wide forest paths past the Marchli to the Wintermatte-Beizli (refreshment stop). Continue along the main path until, directly after crossing a stream, a forest path branches off to the left in the direction of Gstaad. Now continue along the Turbachbach stream and past Turbach-Dörfli back to Gstaad.
