Bettmeralp

Turn-by-turn directions

The tour starts and ends at the cable car station on Bettmeralp. It begins in leisurely fashion on the asphalt road that winds its way down in broad sweeps to the idyllic village of Betten. Once you've passed through the beautiful Valais village, follow the paved road at the western end that leads up to Goppisberg on a slight incline. Once there, turn onto the dirt track that continues up towards Riederalp on slightly steeper but still comfortably rideable terrain. Passing by the hamlets of Gstalji, Bina and Biel, the winding road returns to the Aletsch Arena sun plateau by Golmenegg. At this point you'll reach the Herrenweg and enjoy the leisurely ride eastwards from Riederalp towards Bettmeralp.
