From Wengen station by train towards Kleine Scheidegg. Here begins your impressive hike along the Eiger Trail to the "Eigergletscher" station (2320m). From the Eiger Trail, the Eiger North Face is within reach and the various world-famous climbing routes to the legendary Eiger summit are clearly visible. The Eiger North Face is still considered an indicator of the best climbers and attracts experts from all continents. After all, anyone reasonably fit for mountaineering can venture to the foot of the famous wall. The trail leads over hilly mats, close to the immense rock and ice landscape of the Eiger North Face, to the Eiger Glacier (2320m). From there the trail leads past a magnificent waterfall, over steep alpine pastures and scree slopes at the foot of the imposing Eiger North Face to Alpiglen station (1614m). There the Jungfrau Bahn passes by coming from Kleine Scheidegg in the direction of Grindelwald and takes you down to the village.  As an "easier" alternative, you can choose the national hiking route "Via Alpina No. 1" from Kleine Scheidegg to Alpiglen station.  Breathtaking mountain panoramas also await you on this easier alternative route! If you would like to extend the route, you can also reach Kleine Scheidegg on foot from Wengen.
