Wildhorn hut - Niesehore - Wildhorn hut

The trail is marked with «Steinmannli». The hike is only suitable for experienced hikers.(high-alpine)

Various attractions and further places of interest around the hut are waiting to be discovered. You can find there tree climbing parks, fossils, the picturesque lake of Dürr and the climb to Iffighore or Schnidejoch (see variants).

Trail to the Wildhorn hut:
The access to the Wildhorn hut starts at the idyllic Lake Lauenen, where a bus stop is (only during the season). The path is quite steep at the beginning but will get flatter in the area of the Chüetungel. The highest point of the hike is on 2344 meters above sea level. From there it goes down to the Wildhorn hut. (Length: 6.7 km; Time required: 4h)
