The hike starts at Hasle-Rüegsau railway station and begins with an easy but steady ascent üvia the Ötzenberg, Schallenberg, Mannenberg to the Rachisberg. From there it is practically all downhill via Busswil, Wirtenmoos and finally along the Emme back to the starting point. The route is varied and characterised by a sensational view.
