From Laupen you follow the Sarine, which a little later forms a reservoir that slumbers like a basin in the depths next to the track. A little later you will come across the castle of Münchenwiller, where you can fortify your horse and rider. And with Murten, you experience a wonderful lakeside town with romance guaranteed. Once you have crossed the language border, the former Roman main street of Helvetia, Avenches, formerly Aventicum, follows. Here, too, it's wonderful to wander around the historic walls until you finally drive on through winding valleys towards the knightly town of Romont, which announces itself from afar with its proud towers.

In the shady Vallee de l'Arbogne between Avenches and Romont, you'll find wonderful picnic spots along the lively stream.
