From Brig to St-Luc, via the Moosalp pass, this fifth stage is one of the highlights of the Valais Cycling Tour.
Distance 91.4 km
The first kilometres from Brig to Visp follow the route of the Rhone River. Just after leaving Visp, the road splits to the left in the direction of Saas Fee and Zermatt. Then you climb a narrow valley, known for its dry micro-climate to the Moosalp pass. This climb will take you through unexpected landscape around every bend. After a quick visit back into the Rhone Valley, the last climb takes you into the Val d’Anniviers to the finish at St-Luc.
Are you in the Valais in autumn? The colourful larch trees make for gorgeous landscapes: nature will offer you an amazing display of colour, amplified by the unique light of the autumn sun.
