Routes in Engelberg

The Grüne Weg runs from east to west through five cantons in the heart of Switzerland – üover green alpine meadows, through villages steeped in history and past majestic peaks.

The Fürenwand is an impressively steep and high wall. Before the via ferrata was established, only a technically very demanding climbing route led through this wall. Very experienced via ferrata climbers will now have their true joy on this climb.

The via ferrata on the Rigidalstock (2593 m) above Engelberg/Titilis leads to a panoramic summit and has some original via ferrata passages to offer.  

The via ferrata over the Brunnistöckli (2030 m) is designed as a beginner or trial via ferrata. This via ferrata is also suitable for children with mountain experience accompanied by adults.  

Diese schöne Wanderung auf einem Teil des Alpkäsetrails ist prädestiniert für Familien mit Kinden. Dabei fährt man auch mit zwei «Buiräbähnli», welche in der Region eine grosse Bedeutung haben.

Diese lange und grandiose Passwanderung führt auf einem alten Säumerpfad vom Urner Reusstal ins Engelbergertal. Sie begeistert mit einer grossartigen Bergszenerie im Urner Urgestein.

This theme trail with information boards through the Aaschlucht gorge is ideal for hot summer days thanks to its shady forest and cooling spray.

The Zittergrat on the Brunnistöckli above the Brunnihütte is the ideal place to playfully venture on more difficult via ferrata routes. It was specially set up as a short and difficult practice via ferrata.

The Walenpfad is a unique hiking trail that leads from the Brunni area to the Bannalp area (above Wolfenschiessen).

Short alpine tour near Engelberg with beautiful views of Titlis and Spannort (T4). Optional return route with many places to stop for refreshments through the watery Surenental valley (T2).
