Monts du Pilat

Only 20 minutes drive from Saint-Etienne and an hour from Lyon, take a deep breath and enjoy being in the middle of nature in the silence of snowy forests to appreciate the pleasure of effort and sliding in a preserved environment! In the middle of the fir trees, the 3 domains of Pilat offer you all the pleasures of snow in many forms: classic or free cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, tobogganing, and many others... The Crêts, which dominate the Rhône valley, offers breathtaking snowy panoramas from the Massif Central to the Alps.

From the Mezenc to the Ardèche highlands

On the highest Nordic domain of the Massif Central, the resort of Les Estables offers more than 50 km of groomed trails. The snowy landscapes of the plateau are sculpted and frozen by the burl and everyone can enjoy them: cross-country skiing to get oxygen at the top of your lungs, snowshoeing or ski touring to find your wild side or dog sledding for those who love the Great North. A course of 70 to 120 km on virgin snow between 1200 and 1500 m of altitude connects the station of Les Estables to that of the Croix de Bauzon in Ardèche.

The mountains of the Ain

At only 1h30 from Lyon, the Ain mountains can be explored according to your desires through immense plateaus or sunny ridges. A paradise for all lovers of wide open spaces, with more than 500 km of Nordic ski trails, 250 km of snowshoeing trails between 1000 and 1300 m of altitude, between combes and snowy summits, facing the Mont-Blanc!

Here, a wide range of activities accessible to all is offered to you: introduction to biathlon, dog sledding, trapper's outings, survival courses, rental of 100% electric scooters and swincars, snow trails, visits to sheepfolds with cheese tasting...

Savoie-Mont-Blanc

Savoie-Mont-Blanc is France's leading Nordic destination and has a huge playground for the various Nordic disciplines. Its 35 Nordic sites, 4 of which are in the top 10 in France (Savoie Grand Revard, Bessans, Les Saisies, Plateau des Glières) extend their domain between pine forests and mountain pastures. They all invite you to discover the mountain and its activities in a thousand ways, bathed in the tranquility of its villages.

Vercors Massif

The Vercors is eight Nordic sites spread throughout the territory, including more than 1000 km of marked trails and 500 km of snowshoeing itineraries and many departures for the practice of dog sledding. Browse the many natural sites and wide open spaces of the Vercors, take a break in the huts and shelters, stop at one of the many farm producers, discover the cultural sites... This is what makes for an extraordinary itinerary. The Grande Traversée du Vercors on skis will allow you to make your way through breathtaking landscapes and you will be surprised by the diversity of cultures you will encounter.

The Chartreuse Massif

Here, there is no need to go very high or very hard, trust your senses and let yourself go... When the Chartreuse puts on its white coat, the atmosphere is completely different and reveals a whole new ambiance. The exceptional snow cover, the kilometers of Nordic trails, the biathlon stadium, the snowshoe trails, the ski instructors, and the splendid panoramas... Massif des Bauges

The Bauges, nestled between the Aravis and Chartreuse ranges, bordered by the Annecy and Bourget lakes, facing the Belledonne, Vanoise and Beaufortain ranges, offer marvelous panoramas! In the heart of this massif, Savoie Grand Revard is one of the best Nordic ski areas with no less than 150 km of marked trails.
