Viele Kilogramm Milch verarbeitet Thomas Scheuber in seinem modernen Betrieb während den vier Alpmonaten. Thomas bewirtschaftet die Alp zusammen mit seiner Frau Andrea. Sie ist für das schön eingerichtete Alpkäse-Lädeli verantwortlich.

The alp Laucheren is located at about 1900 m above sea level - well protected in a gentle hollow high above the Engelberg valley. From June to October Älpler Melk leads his 120 sheep, 2 llamas, about 50 mother cows with their calves and a bull over the mostly steep but lush mountain slopes. Also 8 chickens and 1 rooster spend the summer on the alp and a dog helps Melk herding the animals.
