The Grimsel Pass -  this is where the Aare rises, Switzerland's longest river, making a wide arc from the Alps past the hills of the Jura to the Rhine.

The first stage of the Aare route from Gletsch near Oberwald takes you over the Grimsel Pass, then through the Canton of Bern to Biel.
